The past few weeks have been very busy. I have been trying by God's
grace to balance classes, lesson planning, clinic, and helping build
the new teachers' house in Emrang. This is an exciting and also
difficult time for me because in a few weeks I will be replaced by two
of my friends from Southern Adventist University, Allie Westermeyer
and Shama Eller. God has blessed my life tremendously in personal
growth. And I have also been privileged to see him working in the
lives of my neighbors in Emrang.
For quite some time I have been anticipating being able to return to
the States and finish my education. God has been leading and I
believe that it is finally time for me to come back for good. In a
few weeks Shama and Allie will be taking over the school and clinic in
Emrang and I will be coming over to Kemantian (the main mission
station) to edit Bible study lessons in audio format and other audio
material so that God's word will be able to be heard more often. The
plan is that I will return to the States before May 21st (when my visa
expires).
I will need your support once again. Since I did not use the return
leg of my round trip ticket within one year I lost that ticket, so I
need to raise funds for a return ticket before I can return. I have
been told that a return ticket to the US will cost at least $1000 but
we are praying that we can get a ticket for less. Any funds raised
above the cost of my ticket will go towards furthering God's work here
in the mountains of Palawan.
This time funds will not be raised through AFM as AFM has given the
Georges the responsibility of my return ticket. Instead please send
your donations to the George's bank account as outlined below. Sorry,
no tax write-off this time.
Please write your check to L. Kent George, include my name in the memo
(Brian Glass), write "for deposit to account number 5101662" on the
bottom of the check, and mail the check to the Cookeville, TN branch
of the First Tennessee Bank. Their address is below.
345 S. Jefferson Avenue
Cookeville, TN 38501
If you are uncertain about how to make this transaction, you can call
First Tennessee Bank and they should be happy to help you.
Verifying: When you make your donation it would be helpful to make
the number of cents correspond to the number of the letter of the
alphabet at the beginning of your last name. For example John Smith
would make a donation of $150.19. "S" being the 19th letter of the
alphabet. This will make it easy for Mr. George to verify that he has
received your donation. Also please send me an e-mail saying that you
have made a donation and telling how much it was for. I will pass
this information on to Mr. George and it will further help him to
verify that he has received your donation.
Thank you very much for your support throughout my two and a half
years here. I look forward to seeing all of you soon, Lord willing.
Please pass this e-mail on to friends who I may not have added to my
e-mail list. Thank you.
In His service,
Brian Glass
