Emrang, Philippines update, October.

Dear Friends of Emrang,

I will make this short because our internet connection is not very reliable.
First I want to thank all of you who have continued praying regularly
for God's work in Emrang even though you may not have heard from me
for a long time.
Some of you may not yet know that I am extending my time here until
April of 2011 so that there will be time for my replacement to
transition more smoothly into what I have been doing. Because of my
longer stay AFM has told me that I need to get assurance from my
supporters that they will continue to support me financially for
another 6 months. I am confident that many of you will want to
continue investing in God's children in Emrang as you have for the
last two years. As I am not in the position to send letters, please

God has been blessing tremendously and guiding and working. I
have been studying the Bible each sabbath with Baking's family and
sometimes some others.
My students are learning. I can barely keep ahead of some of
them. Please keep them in your prayers, many of them are not used to
attending school regularly and like to skip school from week to week.
This weekend I am playing truant officer. But they are learning
everyday who God is and I can already see them making changes in the
way that they think about God. Praise God for His Holy Spirit who has
already been at work in their hearts long before we arrived.
